We all have 6 Basic Human Needs, the first 4 are our Core needs while the last 2 are what leave us feeling fulfilled.

All of these needs need to be met to live a balanced and fulfilling life

1. Certainty

I need a sense of safety, stability, and comfort in my life, and I want to feel confident that these things will continue in the future. When things feel uncertain, it can be hard for me to relax or feel at ease.

How this belief supports me:
I tend to stay cautious, steer clear of risky situations, and think ahead when making decisions.

2. Variety/Uncertainty

I believe that having a mix of new experiences and challenges is important for my happiness. I feel my best when there is some unpredictability, excitement, or change in my life. Variety helps me stay engaged and energized.

How this belief supports me:
I’m interested in many things and people often see me as lively, engaging, and enjoyable to be around. I’m good at finding new activities, exploring new ideas, and creating fresh experiences. I connect easily with people from different backgrounds and age groups. I tend to be positive, open-minded, and willing to see the good in others. I’m rarely bored because I can always find something that captures my attention, and I like to make the most out of life.

3. Significance

I believe that feeling valued and respected is a key part of my happiness. I want to be seen as someone who stands out and matters. I need others to recognize my strengths and see me as someone worth paying attention to.

How this belief supports me:
I put real effort into being unique and setting myself apart. I naturally aim to take the lead rather than follow. I’m willing to do what it takes for people to respect me, appreciate what I bring, and see me as someone with influence

4. Love / Connection

I feel most worthy when I can love others and receive love in return. I need close, meaningful relationships to feel fulfilled. When I don’t feel loved or can’t express my love, I struggle with feeling good about myself.

How this belief supports me:
I’m caring and generous with the people who matter to me, and I can be very protective of those I love. I naturally take on a nurturing and responsible role in my relationships.

5. Growth

I feel happiest when I’m learning, improving, and developing new abilities. I need to grow—whether it’s emotionally, mentally, physically, or spiritually. Staying the same for too long doesn’t feel right to me.

How this belief supports me:
There is always something new for me to explore or challenge myself with. I’m self-motivated and don’t rely on others to enjoy learning or making progress. I stay active in my pursuits and don’t place much importance on material things. For me, the real value is in what I know and what I’m capable of doing.

6. Contribution

I feel that life isn’t complete unless I’m contributing to others or supporting something meaningful. I need to go beyond my own needs and give in a way that matters. I want to make a difference and leave something positive behind.

How this belief supports me:
When I focus on helping others, my own worries and challenges feel smaller. I feel grounded knowing there is always a way to contribute. I experience variety because there are many different ways to make an impact. I feel significant because I know my actions are meaningful. Helping others creates a sense of connection, and through giving, I continue to grow and develop as a person.

About Me

Hi, I’m Soleil —

For years, I’ve been drawn to understanding why we do what we do — why we react, repeat patterns, and sometimes feel like we’re stuck in lives that don’t quite fit.

But this work became deeply personal for me earlier this year.

In the spring, I lost my oldest child — and in my grief, I found myself reaching for understanding. Not just of him, but of myself… and of the invisible needs and patterns that shape all of us.

That’s when I began diving into Human Behaviour, NLP, and Strategic Intervention.
Not to change careers, but to make sense of life.

To find meaning and understanding.

And what I found changed everything.

As I started applying what I was learning, things clicked — not just intellectually, but emotionally. I began to see myself with more compassion. And I saw the same shift happen in others when I shared what I’d learned.
